Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner
Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.
Must have skills : IBM WebSphere MQ
Good to have skills : JBOSS Administration, Internet Information Server (IIS) Administration
Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required
Educational Qualification : Associate or bachelors degree in a technical area

Summary: As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues related to IBM WebSphere MQ and other related technologies. Roles & Responsibilities: Candidate should have Primary Skill as IBM WebSphere Administrator and Secondary Skills like Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, WebSphere MQ and WebLogic including installation, configuration, security, and monitoring is preferable. Installation, configuration & administration of WAS (WebSphere Application Server) Application Server. Usage of clusters, profile creation, additions of nodes to clusters, deployment manager profile etc. Usage of WebSphere deployment console for application deployment Usage of scripts on starting and stopping applications, nodes, servers etc Load Balancing Configuration Session Management Configuration Security / SSL configuration Plugin changes and propagation Troubleshooting issues with WAS/HTTP/Edge server Isolating infrastructure issues from application issues. Identifying and applying fix packs for product related issues Identifying problematic components and suggesting resolutions/workarounds (if any) Raising PMR with IBM for product related issues. Assisting IBM with logs and traces from the servers Implementing changes suggested by IBM for resolution of such issues Thread Dump and Heap dump analysis Introduce automation where possible to improve teams efficiency (i.e., Patching automation, self-provisioning of WebSphere , etc.) Design, implement and document each application/customer deployments. Participate in an on-call rotation, performing troubleshooting activities and implementing necessary fixes to restore stability. Experience in Apache Tomcat Server Administration such as Installing, configuring, and maintaining Apache Tomcat servers (recent versions) and related software components. Deploying web applications and configuring them to run on the Tomcat server. Managing the Tomcat infrastructure and ensuring high availability and performance Monitoring the Tomcat environment and identifying and resolving issues Managing security and access controls for the Tomcat environment Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and other IT teams Providing technical support to JBoss Application Servers and work with other IT departments and user organization on relevant technical issues. JBoss Application server 7.x server installation and configuration. Application deployment, JDBC creation, JMS creation. SSL installation, certificate renewal and configuration. Installing and configuring Plug-in for Web and Application servers. JBoss Clustering and troubleshooting related issues. Using Ant and Eclipse to Simplify JBoss Administration JBoss Logging Tools Integrating JBoss with Apache Web Server Installing and configuring SSOagent. Maintaining the JBoss Application server and monitoring the processes for CPU / Memory /Disk usage and reviewing the server logs. Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure. Plan, test, and implement MQ version updates as well as patching activities in the underlying operating systems. Analysing technical problems and creating solutions involving the use of existing techniques and/or tools. Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills: Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in IBM WebSphere Application server, Apache Tomcat and JBoss Administration. Good To Have Skills: Minimum 1 3 years of experience in either of these technologies: Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere MQ and Portal administration, IIS, etc., 1 - 3 years of Operating System / knowledge of system commands and structures. Education Qualification: Higher Level Qualification in a technical subject is desirable. Experience with prioritizing work requests. Proficient in JBoss Application Server, Apache Tomcat, and WebSphere Application Server. Expert level knowledge in design, installation, configuration, fix pack upgrade, and administration of IBM WebSphere Expert level knowledge in deploying and configuring WAS. Providing technical support to JBoss Application Servers and work with other IT departments and user organization on relevant technical issues. Application deployment, JDBC creation, JMS creation. SSL installation, certificate renewal and configuration. Installing and configuring Plug-in for Web and Application servers. Experience in Apache Tomcat Server Administration such as Installing, configuring, and maintaining Apache Tomcat servers (recent versions) and related software components. Deploying web applications and configuring them to run on the Tomcat server. Good knowledge of Windows and Linux Red hat operating system. Good knowledge of Apache Web Server and IIS is a plus. SSL certificate management experience Problem solving / analytical skills, tools, and techniques with experience in troubleshooting MQ issues as well as other complex MQ performance issues. Strong communication skills. Knowledge on installing, configuring, and maintaining Omegamon agents. Basic knowledge of AIX Solaris/RedHat/Windows administration, including shell scripting, Batch processing and task scheduler management. Experience with AWS Platform (preferable AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or better) Experience working or integrating with Active MQ, FTP and WebSphere Application server. Understanding of ITIL and ITSM frameworks. Experience with change management processes and tools (preferably ServiceNow) Ability to work, learn new applications, and resolve issues quickly. Ability to clearly document and explain symptoms and solutions to complex problems. Additional Information: Good verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization. Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision. Should be open to work in shifts.
