Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner
Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Summary: Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge. Roles & Responsibilities: Resource will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support for Linux-based hosts, their services, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving problems, to improve the platform. Provide operational leadership. Provide team leadership in managing work streams, on call rotations, and an escalation point for technical and operational concerns. Provide technical support maintenance of production and development systems and administration of environments. Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. Responsible for team decisions. Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. Ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise. Configure services on various platforms. Implement technology at the operating system-level. Troubleshoot at both basic and intermediate levels. Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills: - At least 6 plus years of good hands-on experience as Linux/Unix system administrator. - Expected to have worked on multiple flavors such as RHEL 6.x, 7.x, Sun Solaris , AIX, Oracle Linux and Centos servers. - Identifying and troubleshooting hardware and OS issues. - User account management. - Performance analysis and tuning. - Server Builds/Decommission. - Hands-on experience with Bash/Powershell Scripting and writing automation scripts for operational tasks. - Hands-on experience with scripting tools, Ansible and other automation DevOps tools. Good to Have Skills: - Sound knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(OCI) Cloud, Azure/AWS IaaS /PaaS environment cloud engineering. - Minimum 2 3 years experience in overall OCI/Azure/AWS cloud Infrastructure management is desired. - Should have experience in the design, implementation, and support of a wide range of OCI/Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure systems including networking principles and protocols. Good Knowledge on Linux Files permission File systems management, Account Management, Performance Monitoring, Backup by Linux native tools and Logical Volume Management. Good Knowledge of troubleshooting skills in a support environment, log files monitoring/analysis, and health check. Experience on incident, change and problem management process. Good Knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting on Linux, OS Hardening, performance tuning, OS Patching. Additional Information: Should have 72+ months of Linux Server Admin Experience. Experience must have been gained in a production environment.
