Infra Project Manager

Job Title: - Infra Project Manager

Location: – UAE (Dubai / Abu Dhabi)

Role Description –

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and establish project goals, objectives, and timelines.
2. Cloud Platforms: Experience with major providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
3. Coordinate with various stakeholders for requirements gathering, analysis, estimations, status reports, sign offs for various projects.
4. Optimizing cloud costs through right-sizing resources, implementing auto-scaling capabilities, and leveraging reserved instances or savings plans. Cloud engineers must continuously balance performance requirements with budget constraints.
5. Conducting capacity planning to ensure the environment can accommodate future growth without disruption. This involves forecasting resource needs based on business projections and implementing scalable architectures that can expand seamlessly.
6. Lead the release management process, ensuring all releases are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
7. Strong experience in Cloud, handling Organization level Account, Well Architected Review WAR, Cost Optimization, performance monitoring, capacity management, Reservations, Saving Plans, Control tower.
8. Coordinate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to create comprehensive release schedules.
9. Monitor project progress, identify deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
10. Provide status reports to management and stakeholders on a regular basis.
11. Manage project risks and issues and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
12. Ensure project requirements and deliverables are clearly defined, documented, and communicated to all stakeholders.
13. Develop project plans and budget estimates for infrastructure projects.
14. Track and manage project expenditures to ensure projects are within budget and financial goals are met.
15. Provide leadership and direction to project team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
16. Ensure all projects follow standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines.
17. Coordinate with various teams including engineering, operations, and IT to establish project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations
18. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and implementing best practices

Required Skills and Experience: -

19. 10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on infrastructure projects in a technical environment.
20. Certified project management
21. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure.
22. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
23. Ability to lead project teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
24. Knowledge of Monitoring Tool: New Relic, PRTG, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
25. Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
26. Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
27. Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing, networking, and data center management.
28. Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
29. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
30. Ability to manage project budgets and financial reporting Cost Explorer, Cost utilization reports, Reservations, Saving plans.
31. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
32. Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and practices.
