About the Role
The Senior IT Support Professional at Unilight Insurance Brokers will be responsible for managing and supporting the organizations IT infrastructure, applications, and security environment. The role involves ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, maintaining system reliability, supporting users, and implementing technology solutions aligned with business requirements. The candidate will also collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain efficient and secure IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Support
- Provide end-to-end IT support for hardware, software, operating systems, and network-related issues across the organization.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Ensure optimal performance and uptime of systems and network infrastructure.
Network & Server Management
- Manage and monitor LAN/WAN networks including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
- Support server management activities including system monitoring, patch management, and performance optimization.
- Maintain backup systems and ensure data integrity and availability.
Security & Access Management
- Manage user access through Active Directory and ensure proper access controls.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices including antivirus management, endpoint protection, and system monitoring.
- Ensure data protection standards and compliance with company policies.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers for system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of hardware and software assets.
Compliance & IT Governance
- Support internal audits, disaster recovery (DR) planning, and business continuity planning (BCP) initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement & Technology Alignment
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, infrastructure efficiency, and user experience.
- Recommend and implement technology solutions that align with the companys operational and business objectives.
Key Competencies & Skills
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of hardware, operating systems, networking, and IT infrastructure management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, backup solutions, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with IT security tools, monitoring systems, and endpoint management.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
Communication & Collaboration
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to explain technical issues and solutions in a clear and user-friendly manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 1015 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, system administration, or enterprise IT operations.
- Certifications (Preferred): ITIL, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, Azure, or AWS certifications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows environments, networking tools, backup systems, and IT security solutions.
