Information Technology Business Analyst

Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with 2 to 4 years of experience to act as the crucial link between our clients' commercial needs and our IT development teams. Based in our Mumbai office, the successful candidate will excel at translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with clients and the internal IT development team to gather, document, and validate business requirements.

Translate high-level commercial requirements into detailed Business

Specifications (Biz Specs) and Technical Specifications (Tech Specs) for development teams.

Facilitate effective communication and serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Elicit and analyze requirements for new projects, working within the dynamic and fast-paced environment of an IT development team.

Respond to Request for Proposal (RFP) and contribute to preparing detailed project proposals for potential clients.

Create and maintain basic data models and entity relationship diagrams to illustrate data structures and relationships.

Analyse cross-impacts and mitigate business impacts for the proposed changes in design and application

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience

Experience working within an IT development team: Proven understanding of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and project delivery processes. Experience in domains like BFSI or eCommerce is desirable.

Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory for client interaction and documentation.

Proficiency in IT Processes: Well-versed in standard IT project management and delivery processes.

Readiness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment: Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the technology sector.

Basic knowledge of creating data/entity models: Familiarity with tools and techniques for data modelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience of working on RFPs and preparing proposals: Prior experience in pre-sales support or proposal writing.
