Role Overview

As Head of IT Asset Management, youll own the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets (Software & Hardware), ensuring regulatory compliance (RBI/BFSI), risk mitigation, and optimal cost control. Youll work closely with senior stakeholders, auditors, vendors, and regulators to maintain a strong Effective License Position (ELP) across the organization.

Key Responsibilities (Snapshot)

Define and execute enterprise ITAM strategy & governance

Lead Software Asset Management (SAM) & license compliance (ELP, audits)

Oversee Hardware Asset Management (HAM) lifecycle & optimization

Ensure RBI & BFSI regulatory compliance

Drive vendor negotiations, cost optimization & contract governance

Proactively manage escalations, audits, and risk mitigation

Leverage automation, AI & analytics for continuous ITAM improvement

Experience & Skills

15+ years in IT Asset Management (Banking/BFSI preferred)

5+ years in enterprise leadership roles

Strong expertise in Flexera, ServiceNow SAM/HAM, Snow, IBM ILMT, Ivanti, BMC Helix

Deep understanding of RBI regulations & IT risk frameworks

Strong vendor negotiation, financial & stakeholder management skills

Preferred Certifications:

ITIL 4 MP | CSAM | CITAM | ISO 19770 | OEM Licensing (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP)
