Industrial Designer Intern – Hardware, CMF & Accessibility

Wystan Health is building screen-free learning systems to support early cognitive development in children.

Were designing a screen-free, tactile learning device for children aged 37 , where the physical form is the interface . The electronics and firmware are already developed and were now looking for an Industrial Design intern to take the product to its final form.

This role is well-suited as a final-year capstone project , with hands-on prototyping and real-world impact.

• Finalising the product form factor

• CMF exploration aligned with child usability and parent trust

• Iterative prototyping using in-house 3D printers and tools

• Designing physical accessories and modular interaction elements

• Exploring inclusive design , including:

• Braille-enabled game cards

• Tactile, non-visual affordances for blind children

• Industrial / product design students

• Strong interest in physical prototyping and iteration

• Sensitivity to child-centric and inclusive design

• Ability to collaborate closely with experience designers and engineers

• Dedicated studio workspace in Kolkata

• Full access to prototyping infrastructure

• Mentorship from founders + remote industrial/interaction design consultants

• Opportunity to define a production-ready product
