Indirect Tax Professional

Job Summary -

One of our Clients located at Bangalore - MG Road is looking for a Candidate will be responsible for working on Indirect tax compliance matters, monthly and annual GST returns, support during due diligence, including liaising with various internal teams for resolving the questions related to GST and guide teammates to achieve high quality compliance with the statute.

Key Responsibilities Areas:

Treasury Preparation of monthly GST computations for all the registrations

Ensuring proper reconciliations of output and input tax as per books vs returns and vice versa.

Assist with indirect tax registrations across India

Assist in the documentation and improvement of indirect tax processes

Assist in month-end indirect tax account reconciliations

Review and understanding of the various GST notices, analyzing and preparation of responses to the various issues raised in the notice. Liasoning with external consultant on submission and appearance before the GST department.

Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis

Provide indirect tax compliance support and collaborate with colleagues throughout the business including Accounting, A/P, A/R, and Finance

Analysis and recommendation of various tools that could aid automation in the Indirect tax team to prevent/detect any human errors.

Qualification & Experience:

Fresher CA or CA semi-qualified (with at least 2 years working experience in the area of Indirect taxes) (post article ship)

Up to date knowledge on various changes/amendments carried out in GST. Basic knowledge on other indirect taxes.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Basic drafting and communication skills

Having Knowledge of SAP (BYD and HANA) and clear tax tool would be an added advantage.

Must have working experience on the following -

1. Preparation & Filing of GST Returns
2. Hands on experience in handling GST Noctices and drafting the replies
3. Hands on experience in working on ERP/SAP
