How you will make an impact

• Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of indirect tax returns across various jurisdictions.
• Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize indirect tax positions and minimize tax liabilities.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's compliance with new requirements.
• Audit Support: Assist in preparing for and responding to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of tax positions, processes, and compliance activities. Prepare and review tax-related reports and analyses.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 5 years of experience in indirect tax compliance, preferably within a multinational corporation or a public accounting firm.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of tax compliance and reporting.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different functions and locations.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with indirect tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience with tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements

Work location: New Delhi, or Bangalore, India

• Hybrid Eligible

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
