Job Family Definition:

This role is pivotal within the organization as it serves as the single point of accountability for the education business across India. A diverse and talented team of Education professionals will report directly to this position. The ideal candidate must be a passionate, results-driven, innovative leader, capable of leading teams to success and ensuring high customer satisfaction. This leader will drive the execution of strategic initiatives while providing direction and guidance to account for local market dynamics and country-specific regulations. This role carries full accountability for the P&L and will ensure strong alignment with key internal stakeholders such as (Pre-)Sales, HIT, aaS/GreenLake, and A&PS to drive both business results and customer success.

What you’ll do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the Education business for India, driving development, growth, and management of the business. Align with internal and external senior leadership to position Education as an integral part of HPE’s overall solutions.
  • Possess a deep understanding of market trends, cultural nuances, and emerging opportunities, leveraging strong industry experience, particularly in the customer training sector.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Drive go-to-market (GTM) initiatives such as Support & Technology Attach, GreenLake/aaS, and A&PS solution integration, and define country-specific strategies to maximize business impact and efficiency of these initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to localize and tailor global initiatives for success within India.
  • Complement ww-embed activities to drive success of global embed (like Digital Learner activation within Complete Care contracts)
  • Develop 2-4 key strategic accounts to build a recurring revenue stream from the training business, leveraging deep customer relationships and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Oversee complex, large-scale solutions, ensuring close alignment with Portfolio and Delivery teams to guarantee high quality, readiness, and profitable offerings.
  • Oversee the pricing and resourcing strategy for the Education business, ensuring alignment with the new global organizational setup and local market demands.
  • Collate and share best practices in sales, pursuit, and delivery with the global team to ensure knowledge transfer, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Delivery & Portfolio to ensure that solutions are deployable, meet all necessary deliverables, and are aligned with customer requirements. Actively seek innovative solutions that complement and enhance HPE’s existing portfolio.
  • Lead or support negotiations for large-scale deals, ensuring alignment with the company's approval matrix and leveraging volume discount opportunities where applicable.

  • Orders, revenues, margin and YoY growth
  • GTM specific order results
  • Customer Satisfaction / NPS (Net Promoter Score)
  • Team Member Feedback / VoW results

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ senior experience within the education / training business. Typically 8+ years to establish proven track record in Service Business Management. Established management background of high level individual contributors (leading teams).
  • Strategic leadership and vision: Ability to execute long-term strategies while adapting to short-term changes in the market.
  • Cultural awareness: Strong understanding of regional dynamics ensuring solutions are sensitive to cultural differences.
  • Change management expertise: Successful experience in leading teams through transformation and fostering an agile mindset.
  • Customer-centric focus: A deep commitment to customer success, with a track record of overachieving on customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Collaboration and influence: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global stakeholders, to drive results.
  • Business Acumen: Ideally previous experience in running or supporting a P&L, ensuring financial objectives such as orders, revenue, margin, and profitability are met.
