Scale & Platform Innovation

  • Work with cross-infra teams to integrate Ceph with OpenStack Cloud (VMs) and Kubernetes environments

  • Contribute to evaluation and validation of new hardware and Ceph features (Bluestore, CephFS, RGW)

  • Participate in benchmarking and performance tests for continuous improvement

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with networking, compute, and cloud teams for solution delivery

  • Mentor junior engineers in Ceph operations and troubleshooting

  • Support documentation and process improvements

What You'll Bring

  • 6–10 years’ experience in Linux systems engineering, distributed storage, or infrastructure operations

  • 3–5+ years relevant hands-on experience with Ceph in production environments

  • Strong fundamentals across:

    • Linux systems: performance tuning, system services, process analysis

    • Networking: TCP/IP, L2/L3 basics, MTU, bonding, routing concepts

    • Exposure to Kubernetes/OpenStack storage backends (RBD, CSI drivers)

    • Working knowledge of observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenObserve / ELK

  • Experience operating large Ceph clusters (PB scale)

  • Knowledge of RDMA/Ethernet high-performance networking
