Job Summary
As Principal Software Engineer for Sam’s Club’s InClub organisation, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering advanced systems for Club fulfilment, inventory, and receiving. You will guide engineering teams in adopting GenAI and Agentic AI, ensuring our club operations are future-ready, scalable, and efficient. Your leadership will drive technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across our next-gen club platforms.

What You’ll Do
- Architect and deliver advanced solutions for Club fulfilment, inventory, and receiving, using GenAI and Agentic AI technologies.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams in designing future-ready club systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and data science teams to define and execute the technical roadmap for next-gen club systems.
- Champion best practices in software engineering, AI integration, and agile development.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation, fostering a culture of experimentation and learning.
What You’ll bring
- Proven experience in leading large-scale software engineering projects, ideally in retail or supply chain domains.
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, especially GenAI and Agentic AI, with hands-on experience in deploying these technologies in production environments.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding teams through complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a passion for driving cross-functional initiatives.
