Job Description & Summary: This is an exciting and high value-add job role being created primarily focussing on international tax and regulatory matters.
The role is in the Finance organisation and will be internal to Finance only.
The individual will utilise his/her knowledge to work on tax compliance in overseas countries, analysing tax impact on overseas travel, review of client contracts, analysing issue of tax declaration for lowering the tax impact in overseas countries, analysing the tax cost, reporting to various stakeholders.
This role will require extensive analysis and technical understanding of tax laws and good research in tax related matters particularly the tax laws of overseas countries.
This role will require communication with business teams.
This role will have a moderate level of supervision and direction and the candidate is required to work with high levels of accuracy
Responsibilities:
- Advising on the international tax implication on business cases and guiding the business team on the potential tax implication based on the Firm’s tax position.
- Timely compliance to regulatory requirements applicable to Indian entities in overseas countries, tax assessments and Statutory Audit. Filling up of various tax & regulatory forms to file for compliance purposes
- Review of client contracts to minimise the tax incidence with respect to tax laws of overseas countries (income tax, indirect tax and corporate tax) of overseas countries.
- Analysing the impact on the transactions with respect to tax treaty India has with other countries, analyse the impact of India withholding and GST.
- Monthly analysis of Foreign tax credit in accordance with applicable tax provision and accounting and advising the direct tax team on the availability of FTC in Form 67 and applicable tax laws in India.
- Ensuring correct and timely Accounting of tax expense, tax provision, tax payments and Maintaining Documentation.
- Tax Documentation and Data management
- Liaison with various teams in finance and business to ensure compliances, tax payments and accounting.
- Educating the business teams on operational aspects of overseas tax.
- Providing the details & evidence for RCSA & KQI compliances in a timely manner.
- Development of various reports for analytics in applications (like QlikView, Stride)
- Obtaining the details & information required from various sources for the relevant compliances and/or reporting.
- Assist in bringing efficiency by standardising the process, gap analysis and enhancement of applications.
