Those in mergers and acquisition tax at PwC will focus on providing tax advice and guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Your work will involve analysing the tax implications of such transactions, developing tax structures, and assisting clients in navigating complex tax regulations to optimise tax outcomes.

Responsibilities:

The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Associate will include the following:

● Assist in designing and implementing governance frameworks.

● Facilitate workshops to help grow the business which include collaboration with different competencies.

● Help in preparing the balanced scorecard, KRAs, KPIs for the business and engage senior leadership in the strategy.

● Prepare Action Taken Reports (ATR) and ensure follow up till closure.

● Drafting of agenda and assist in facilitating workshops with the promoters/members involved in the family business.

● Facilitate meetings to help in consensus building and alignment on strategic plans.

● Stay abreast of industry trends, acquisitions, and best practices for business growth.

● Maintain accurate records and prepare reports basis the conducted workshops.

Profile Requirements

● MBA from reputed institute and having knowledge of business processes and systems with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

● Facilitation skills and engagement with senior leadership including the Promoters.

● Has working knowledge of developing and detailing KRAs and KPIs, HR policies, operational manuals etc.

Other prerequisites skills include: - Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

- Certification in family business or governance (e.g., CFBA, CGP) is a plus.

- Integrity and professionalism in dealing with family members.

- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.

- Adaptability and resilience in navigating dynamic family environments.

- Commitment to promoting fairness, inclusivity, and sustainability within the family enterprise.

- Efficiency in MS-office and report writing skills.

- Good interpersonal, networking and articulation skills.

Education

MBA from a reputed business school (or diploma in family business from SP Jain or ISB or other reputed Institute)

Experience 1-2 years post qualification
