Job Description & Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Control Business Analyst with extensive experience in Product Control processes, trade lifecycle management, accounting flows, and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis skills, SQL expertise, and a deep understanding of trade booking, ledger and sub-ledger posting, and balance sheet management across various financial products.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily and monthly P&L reporting, adjustments, and reconciliations across asset classes.
  • Ensure FOBO reconciliation, balance sheet substantiation, and regulatory compliance in reporting.
  • Extract and validate financial data from various databases and reporting tools.
  • Experience with front-to-end system flow, including trade booking systems (Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg, etc) and ledger/sub-ledger postings.
  • Oversee ledger and sub-ledger posting processes to align with accounting standards.
  • Assist in designing and implementing financial control processes for balance sheet management.
  • Knowledge on IFRS and USGAAP reporting.
  • Gather and document business requirements for trade flow, ledger posting, reporting enhancements and participation in UAT/ Regression/ Functional Testing.
  • Manage and refine product backlog, write user stories, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure end-to-end trade booking accuracy and completeness across front-to-back systems.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for trade data analysis and reconciliations.
  • Work closely with Front Office, Finance, Risk, and IT teams to drive process improvements.

Mandatory skill sets:

Product Control, Business Analysis, Accounting and Trade Life Cycle Agile Methodologies and SQL.

Preferred skill sets:

Balance Sheet Management, FOBO Reconciliation, Capital Market Products, USGAAP and IFRS

Years of experience required:

3-8 Years

Education qualification:

MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
