Within Advisory, PwC has a large teamthat focus on transformation in Government through Digital inclusion. The open position is for a candidate who desires to work with government clients and bring about a change in society. A successful candidate will be expected to work pro-actively and effectively on multiple client engagements over the period of time and take ownership of the entire project delivery he/she entrusted with.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Manager to lead our technology team. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing technical projects, managing a team of engineers and developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet our organizational goals. Your role will involve balancing technical leadership with management responsibilities, fostering innovation, and driving the execution of complex technical initiatives.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical strategies and objectives. You will be responsible for planning and managing project timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring that technical solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
• 9 to 12 years of experience in successfully managing and delivering technical Projects.
• Defining of the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Requirements Gathering by working with stakeholders, including business analysts and technical teams, to gather and document project requirements.
• Developing a project charter to outlining the project goals, timelines, budget, and roles and responsibilities.
• Resource management through team coordination and adequate resource allocation ensuring necessary resources are available and allocated appropriately.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and tasks, and ensure that the team adheres to them.
• Monitor the progress of the project, ensuring that it stays on track and adjusting plans as necessary to accommodate changes.
• Identify and address any issues or roadblocks that arise during the project, ensuring minimal disruption to the timeline.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including project status reports, risk assessments, and progress toward milestones.
• Organize and lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, status updates, and post-mortem reviews.
• Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that all expenditures are accounted for and that the project remains within financial constraints.
• Monitor and control project costs, making adjustments as necessary to avoid budget overruns.
• Provide financial reports to stakeholders, detailing expenditures, cost variances, and forecasts.
• Risk management through risk identification, risk mitigation and creating contingency plans.
• Ensure that the project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and organizational policies.
• Develop and execute test plans, ensuring that all project components function correctly before deployment.
• Conduct regular quality reviews of project deliverables, making sure they align with the project requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure a smooth transition of the project deliverables to the operations or support teams, including thorough documentation and training.
• Post-Implementation Review and Project Closure Documentation
• Manage change requests, communicate changes to stakeholders and Oversee the implementation of approved changes, ensuring minimal disruption to the project’s progress.
• Identify and implement the most suitable project management tools and technologies to support efficient project execution.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies, adopting industry best practices and Provide technical guidance and oversight
Mandatory skill sets:
• 9 to 12 years of experience in successfully managing and delivering technical Projects.
Preferred skill sets:
• Defining of the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

Education qualification:
o B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering.
o Master's degree in a related field preferred
