Role Overview
We are looking for a UKG Implementation Specialist to lead the ongoing configuration, optimization, and expansion of UKG Ready modules, with a strong emphasis on Time & Attendance, Core HRIS, and Payroll-related processes, including reimbursements. While the system is already live, this role is critical in maximizing the full functionality of existing modules, activating underutilized features, and ensuring UKG effectively supports end-to-end employee lifecycle management. The specialist will partner closely with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to maintain strong data integrity, ensure accurate and compliant system setup, and drive continuous improvement across the UKG ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
UKG Ready Implementation & COE Enablement
- Lead end-to-end UKG Ready implementation and optimization, covering requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, go-live, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a UKG Ready COE lead, establishing scalable, standardized, and automated system frameworks aligned to global and regional needs.
- Partner with HR, Payroll ,IT, and regional stakeholders to translate
business requirements into efficient, compliant, and future-ready system configurations.
Core HR & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Configure and streamline Core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, compensation updates, confirmations, and exits.
- Design and automate region-specific confirmation and probation workflows, aligned with local policies and approval hierarchies.
- Establish role-based security, permissions, and data access controls aligned with COE governance and compliance requirements.
- Digitize HR policies and workflows (leave, attendance, confirmation, PMS, reimbursements, exits) to ensure system-driven execution and audit
readiness.
Time, Attendance & Leave Automation
- Design and configure Time & Attendance frameworks, including attendance rules, shifts, calendars, leave structures, accruals, and exceptions.
- Streamline attendance and leave processes through automation, self- service enablement, and standardized approvals.
- Ensure accurate integration of attendance and leave data with payroll processing.
Learning & Capability Enablement (UKG Ready Learning)
- Configure, streamline, and manage UKG Ready Learning to support onboarding, compliance, and continuous capability development.
- Design and automate learning assignments and curricula based on employee lifecycle stages (new joiners, role changes, confirmations, performance outcomes).
- Enable mandatory and compliance training workflows, including
automated enrollments, tracking, reminders, and completion reporting.
- Integrate learning data with Core HR and Performance Management,
ensuring visibility into skill development and readiness.
- Build and maintain learningdashboards and analytics, covering participation, completion rates, and effectiveness insights.
- Drive adoption of self-service learning through intuitive access, standardized catalogs ,and governance alignedto the COE model.
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to continuously optimize learning configurations in line with organizational priorities.
Payroll & Reimbursements Enablement
- Configure and optimize Payroll structures, including earnings,deductions, reimbursements, proration logic, and statutory compliance.
- Support payroll parallel runs, validation, reconciliation, and accuracy checks to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Enable seamless integration between payroll, attendance, reimbursements, and finance systems.
Performance Management & Continuous Feedback
/ Own the end-to-end Performance Management System (PMS) setup within UKG Ready, including:
- Goal-setting frameworks
- Annual, bi-annual, and quarterly review cycles
- Rating scales, calibration logic, and approval workflows.
- Enable quarterly check-ins and continuous feedback mechanisms to support performance, development, and engagement.
- Ensure performance workflows are consistent, automated, and scalable across regions.
/ Help streamline our UKG Ready review profile for the company, including:
- Ensure visibility of competencies and goals are set up appropriately between managers and their direct reports during review cycles.
- Workflows for the review profile can support a self-review to manager review philosophy.
- Ensure performance workflows are consistent, automated, and scalable across regions.
- Optimize how the systems review profile pulls in goals to the quarterly review cycle.
- How to mass assign new review profiles and trigger quarterly reviews.
Termination, Exit & Full & Final Processing
- Design and automate end-to-end termination and exit workflows, covering voluntary and involuntary separations.
- Configure region-specific notice periods,exit policies, approvals, and role-based access.
- Enable structured exit processesincluding checklists, asset recovery, final payroll inputs, leave encashment, and
reimbursements.
- Support exit reporting and analytics for attrition tracking and compliance.
Data, Integrations & System Integrity
- Lead data migrationand data quality assurance, including
employee masterdata, job history,compensation, balances, attendance, and documents.
- Manage and support integrations using APIs, flat files, and third-party vendors (attendance devices, benefits platforms, finance systems, etc.
- Execute unit testing, UAT, and end-to-end system testing, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity
Reporting, Analytics & Optimization
- Build and maintain standardized dashboards and HR analytics, covering:
- Workforce and lifecycle metrics
- Attendance and leave insights
- Payroll accuracy and trends
- Performance and engagement indicators
- Identify opportunities to maximize UKG Ready capabilities, driving automation, self-service adoption, and reduction of manual/offline processes/Support postgo-live stabilization, issue resolution, optimization, and continuous enhancement
What Were Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on UKG Ready implementation experience.
- Strong experience in Time & Attendance configuration and payroll- related processes.
- Proven experience in payroll parallel testing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of UKG Ready data structures, security roles, and configurations.
- Experience configuring reimbursement components within payroll.
- Ability to work independently and manage multipleworkstreams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem- solving skills.
Nice to Have
- UKG Ready/Pro certifications.
- Experience migrating from platforms such as ADP, Paychex, Sage, or Workday.
- Exposure to API-based or technical integrations.
- Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-location, or complex payroll environments.
- Prior consulting, implementation partner, or staff augmentation experience.
