Role Summary

The Immigration & Legal HR Specialist will be responsible for managing employment-based immigration processes, ensuring statutory and labor law compliance, and supporting HR operations from a legal and regulatory perspective. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and government authorities to ensure timely compliance and risk mitigation.


Key Responsibilities


1. Immigration Management

  • Manage end-to-end employment visa lifecycle (work permits, employment passes, dependent visas, renewals, cancellations).
  • Liaise with immigration consultants, legal counsel, and government authorities.
  • Track visa expirations and maintain immigration compliance records.
  • Advise business and employees on immigration policies and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to country-specific immigration regulations.

2. Legal & Statutory HR Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, employment regulations, and statutory obligations.
  • Draft, review, and maintain employment contracts, secondment letters, and HR policy documentation.
  • Support HR audits and statutory inspections.
  • Manage documentation related to employee onboarding, background verification, and compliance filings.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on impact.

3. Documentation & Record Management

  • Maintain repository in soft copy and hard copies.
  • Ensure proper record retention as per statutory requirements.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Law.
  • 1-3 years of experience in immigration, HR compliance, or employment law.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and immigration processes.
  • Experience working with government portals and statutory filings.
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
