Systems Analyst Core IBM Sales and Inventory Service Delivery
The successful candidate will have prior knowledge and experience in sales and inventory processes. Ideally will have experience with CICS and IMS systems in Order Processing, Finished Goods Contracts and Inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide deep functional expertise for applications & products supporting one or more process areas.
- Advise the business and technical team on system fit/gap analysis and design decisions.
- Write detailed functional, and provide input to, technical designs for business requests, partnering with business and development teams as needed.
- Resolve escalated support issues by providing process and functional expertise and engaging technical teams as required
- Support for mergers and acquisitions with process and functional expertise
- Partner with other processes and system experts to identify and implement business process continuous improvements opportunities.
- Regular and accurate status updates and other documentation to management and team members for assigned support and enhancement work.
- Be a subject matter expert of how technology supports our business processes.
- Share knowledge of risks and opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the respective process areas.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree related to Information Systems, Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years job experience in IT or process area(s) preferred
- Familiarity with CICS usage and navigation and IMS systems
- Knowledge of how current trends and technology can address identified business needs and capabilities a plus.
- Exhibits ability to work both in a geographically diverse team environment and independently
- Strong analytical, organization, time management, facilitation, and process management skills
- Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate technical and non-technical information, ideas, procedures and processes.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and with all levels of the organization and cope with rapidly changing information
- Ability to evaluate and negotiate priorities and adapt to new/evolving individual and team assignments as adjustments are needed.
- Interact and deal effectively with all levels of employees while maintaining a professional manner
- Maintains a positive work environment through teamwork & conflict resolution
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed to achieve business objectives
- COBOL knowledge is a plus but not required
