Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IBM i / AS400 Developer with strong hands-on expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CL, and CLLE. The candidate will be responsible for development, maintenance, and end-to-end delivery of IBM i applications within a banking environment.

Responsibilities

1. Development & Maintenance

• Work on the development and maintenance of the core banking product and related modules.

2. Technical Participation

• Actively participate in:
• Technical walkthroughs
• Coding
• Code reviews
• Unit testing
• System testing
• QA/UAT cycles
• Go-Live support

3. Point-of-Contact Ownership

• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for all IBM i (AS400) deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with the team manager to ensure timely and quality deliveries.

4. Reporting

• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress and status.
• Ensure on-time completion of all deliverables with strong quality adherence.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in IBM i technologies (RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE) across development or maintenance projects.

Programming Skills

• Strong proficiency in ILE RPG and ILE CL programming.
• Solid experience in:
• Code reviews
• Debugging
• Troubleshooting
• Unit testing

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with Aldon CMS tool.

Domain Expertise

• Experience in the retail banking domain is a strong advantage
