IBDP French Teacher for the academic year

We are seeking a passionate and qualified IB DP French Teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach French language courses to students enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme, focusing on language acquisition, literature, and cultural understanding.
• Develop and implement an engaging and comprehensive curriculum that aligns with IB standards and caters to varied learning styles.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance language proficiency.
• Create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and collaboration.
• Prepare students for the IB French examinations, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate the French language and culture into interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Participate in department meetings, ongoing professional development, and IB training opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in French, Education, or a related field; or IB teaching certification preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in the IB Diploma Programme.
• Excellent proficiency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A deep understanding of IB philosophy and pedagogy, particularly in the context of language acquisition.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive classroom environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
