Job Description
The Hygiene & Safety Executive is responsible for overseeing and maintaining hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards across all operational sites of Loyal Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. The role requires regular field visits, hygiene and safety audits, on-ground inspections, staff training, and ensuring strict adherence to FSSAI regulations and internal SOPs. The position plays a key role in driving compliance, minimizing risks, and supporting a culture of safety and cleanliness across locations.
Responsibilities:
1. Hygiene Monitoring
- Monitor hygiene practices across kitchens, hubs, prep areas, and storage points.
- Ensure staff follow grooming, PPE usage, and sanitation standards.
- Check cleaning schedules, housekeeping quality, and pest control execution.
2. Food Safety Oversight
- Verify food handling, storage, and temperature maintenance.
- Monitor equipment cleanliness, waste management, and cross-contamination risks.
- Identify deviations and escalate corrective actions.
3. Field Work & Site Visits
- Conduct regular hygiene & safety audits at assigned locations.
- Travel between multiple hubs daily for inspections and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate with kitchen, operations, housekeeping, and vendor teams on-site.
4. Internal Audits & Compliance
- Perform hygiene and safety checks as per SOP, FSSAI, and ISO requirements.
- Assist during client audits and compliance inspections.
- Document non-conformities and track CAPA closure.
5. Training & Awareness
- Train staff on hygiene, food safety, PPE usage, and operational safety.
- Promote safety culture and best practices across locations.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain audit reports, checklists, and compliance documentation.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly hygiene and safety reports.
7. Workplace Health & Safety
- Observe safety practices, equipment handling, and accident prevention.
- Identify hazards and initiate preventive actions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of hygiene standards & food safety practices.
- Familiarity with FSSAI, GMP, GHP & HACCP basics.
- Good observation and audit skills.
- Strong communication & training ability.
- Discipline, attention to detail, and process compliance.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: B.Sc/M.Sc in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Hospitality, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in hygiene, food safety, audits, or compliance (hospitality/QSR/food industry preferred).
Additional Requirements:
- Two-wheeler with a valid driving license (mandatory).
- Comfortable with fieldwork & daily hub visits.
- Languages Mandatory: Kannada, English & Hindi
