Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hygiene Manager at Radisson Blu Bengaluru Outer Ring Road.
Responsible for ensuring that all food operations comply with hygiene and food safety standards. Provides guidance on proper food handling practices and delivers food hygiene training to all new hires and trainees. Identifies key risk areas across food operations and implements preventive and corrective actions. Offers technical support on product labeling to ensure compliance with government regulations
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Hygiene and Food Safety Operations.
- Advises, monitors, and verifies food handlers adherence to proper food handling practices.
- Identifies key risk areas in food operations and implements pre-emptive remedial actions.
- Verifies compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, licensing conditions, and applicable codes of practice.
- Provides technical advice on product labeling to meet government and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts in-house food hygiene training for all food handlers, including new hires and trainees.
- Handles food hygiene-related complaints or inquiries from guests and local food safety and health authorities.
- Conducts and records daily kitchen inspections covering personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, and food safety; prepares corrective action plans as required.
- Performs regular vendor inspections in coordination with Purchasing and Culinary leadership.
- Conducts internal BSA inspections jointly with Culinary leadership and kitchen cleaning teams.
- Inspects kitchen equipment regularly and ensures defects or non-conformities are rectified by the appropriate departments.
- Coordinates cleaning programs across all F&B areas (e.g., general cleaning), identifies trends, and recommends improvements.
- Builds and maintains open, collaborative relationships with all employees.
- Liaises with pest control service providers, monitors performance, and addresses pest-related issues.
- Maintains and continuously improves hygiene standards across the property.
- Regularly reviews and refreshes food safety standards for all food handlers.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation related to hygiene and food safety standards.
