Role Overview

At Kapittx, software engineering is evolving.

We are building anAI-native engineering organization wherehuman engineers collaborate with AI agents to design, build, test, and operate high-quality software. AI agents handle parts of reasoning, code generation, testing, analysis, and documentationwhile human engineers bring judgment, domain understanding, creativity, and ownership.

As aJunior Human Software Engineer , you will workwith AI agents, not compete against them. Your role is to guide, review, refine, and elevate what AI producesensuring correctness, scalability, security, and real-world usability.

How Engineering Works at Kapittx

• AI agents assist with code scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, documentation, and analysis
• Human engineers own system design, architecture decisions, domain modeling, quality standards, and production readiness
• Engineering excellence is measured by outcomes: reliability, clarity, maintainability, and customer impact

Tech Stack

You will work with a modern, AI-augmented stack, including:

AWS, ReactJS, MySQL, Spring, Java, Python, NodeJS, LLMs, Git, Windsurf

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Founding Members, senior engineers, and AI agents to understand the domain and build robust features
• Review, validate, and improve AI-assisted code to meet production-grade quality, performance, and security standards
• Design and implement clean, extensible solutions across frontend, backend, and data layers
• Contribute to ourAI-first engineering and data roadmap , helping define how humans and agents work together
• Uphold platform quality with a strong sense of ownership and customer impact
• Participate in design discussions, brainstorming sessions, and architectural decisions
• Continuously learnabout users, finance workflows, emerging technologies, and AI-driven development practices
• Be a collaborative team player, fostering trust, clarity, and engineering rigor

Qualifications

• Developer Mindset : You think in systems, abstractions, and trade-offsnot just code
• Full-Stack Capability : Comfortable working across frontend, backend, and APIs
• Experience : 13 years of hands-on experience building extensible, production-ready software
• AI-Aware Engineer : Comfortable using AI tools/agents for development and eager to learn how to work with them effectively
• Strong Fundamentals : Solid understanding of Cloud, Algorithms, Performance, Security, and Distributed Systems
• Outcome-Driven : You focus on desired outcomes and collaborate to achieve them
• Dev Tools : Proficient with Git (GitHub) and debugging complex issues
• Curiosity & Adaptability : Excited by change and continuous improvement
