Job Description

UWR is seeking an experienced and proactive HR specialist to lead end-to-end human resource operations and build a strong, compliant, and people-centric HR function. This role demands a hands-on HR leader who can balance strategic direction with day-to-day execution, ensuring robust governance, high employee engagement, and scalable HR systems aligned with UWRs business objectives. The HR Manager will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth, strengthening culture, and enabling operational excellence across the company.


Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Compliance

Manage the complete HR lifecycle

Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, Labour Laws).

Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.


2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Lead recruitment strategy in coordination with business heads.

Drive hiring plans, vendor management, and employer branding.

Oversee offer rollout, background verification, and joining formalities.

Track recruitment metrics (TAT, cost per hire, closure rate).


3. Payroll & Compensation Management

Oversee monthly payroll processing and validation.

Manage salary structures, increments, bonuses, and reimbursements.

Coordinate with finance for payroll accuracy and statutory payouts.


4. Performance Management & HR Policies

Design and manage performance appraisal frameworks (KPIs/KRAs).

Draft, update, and implement HR policies and SOPs.

Ensure policy adherence and fair application across the organization.


5. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

Act as a trusted point of contact for employees.

Proactively manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.


6. Learning, Development & Engagement

Identify training needs and coordinate internal/external programs.

Drive employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanisms.

Support leadership in succession planning and capability building.


7. HR Reporting & Systems

Generate MIS reports for leadership (headcount, attrition, hiring, compliance).

Manage HRMS / ATS systems and data accuracy. (Zoho)

Recommend process improvements and automation.



Required Qualifications & Skills

MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field.

Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in growing organisations.

Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.

Hands-on experience in recruitment (70%), payroll, and HR operations.

Ability to work independently and manage confidential information.
