Pluto Mobility is building Indias first purpose-built electric vehicle for multi-category last-mile delivery, enabling delivery partners to work seamlessly across food delivery, quick commerce, e-commerce, and hyperlocal logistics.


Role Description

Were looking for a hands-on People & Talent Officer who will own the entire people function end-to-end from hiring the right talent, to keeping our people operations tight, to ensuring basic finance and budgeting hygiene.


Youll work closely with founders and leadership to scale the team responsibly, hire high-quality talent, and maintain operational discipline as we grow.


What Youll Do

Talent Acquisition

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for junior to mid-senior roles across functions.
  • Partner with team leads to define role requirements, hiring timelines, and interview processes.
  • Source candidates via LinkedIn, referrals, inbound applications, and targeted outreach.
  • Manage the full hiring funnel screening, coordination, feedback loops, offer roll-outs, and closures.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for repeat and hard-to-hire roles.
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate experience from first touch to onboarding.


People Operations & HR

  • Own employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, documentation, exits, and basic compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR, policies, and people matters.
  • Maintain employee records, contracts, offer letters, and HR trackers.
  • Help shape internal processes, SOPs, and culture as the team scales.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for payroll, insurance, and compliance.
  • Oversee statutory compliance basics (PF, ESIC, POSH, contracts) through vendors.
  • Enforce company policies, behavioural standards, and professional conduct consistently.


Finance Operations & Budgeting

  • Handle day-to-day finance operations: vendor bills, invoices, reimbursements, and payment tracking.
  • Maintain monthly expense trackers and ensure timely closure of bills.
  • Assist founders with budgeting, headcount planning, and cost visibility.
  • Coordinate with CA and external finance partners for filings, payroll inputs, and audits.
  • Bring discipline and visibility to spending without slowing the team down.


Experience & Skills

  • 36 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, and People Ops in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Comfortable handling operational and admin-heavy work alongside strategic responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of finance operations such as billing, reimbursements, and budgeting. Deep finance expertise is not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High ownership mindset and ability to work directly with founders.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven.
