Job Description
Assistant Manager / Lead HR
Location: Chennai- Corporate Office
Experience: 1 to 5 years
Reporting to: Chief People Officer and Dotted line reporting to Senior Vice President- AHCT.

Role Summary
The AM/Lead HR will be responsible for managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle across the organization. This is a strategic corporate HR role that combines recruitment, talent development, HR operations, and employee engagement.
In addition, the role will lead internship and placement support initiatives for Nipuni Scholars, strengthening career pathways and corporate partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1 Talent Acquisition (End-to-End Recruitment)
- Drive workforce planning in alignment with organizational growth plans
- Manage end-to-end recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviews, offer management, onboarding)
- Build strong employer branding for attracting purpose-driven talent
- Develop talent pipelines for program and corporate roles
- Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices
2 Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee onboarding and structured induction processes
- Manage confirmation, performance review cycles, and career progression frameworks
- Handle employee engagement initiatives
- Support leadership in talent retention strategies
- Manage exits, documentation, and knowledge transition
3 Learning & Development
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Design and implement learning interventions (behavioural, leadership, compliance, program skills)
- Coordinate internal and external training programs
- Monitor learning impact and effectiveness
4 HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage HR policies, documentation, and statutory compliance
- Oversee payroll coordination and employee benefits administration
- Maintain HRMS, employee records, and data accuracy
- Ensure adherence to labour laws and NGO governance standards
- Develop and streamline HR SOPs and systems
5 Internship & Placement Support Nipuni Scholars
- Develop corporate partnerships for internships and placements
- Coordinate internship opportunities aligned with scholars aspirations
- Provide career guidance, resume support, and interview preparation
- Track scholar progress and placement outcomes
- Build alumni engagement and corporate volunteer networks
Key Competencies
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR functions
- Experience in talent acquisition and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of labour laws and compliance frameworks
- Strong networking and corporate partnership skills
- High emotional intelligence and people-centric approach
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment
Eligibility Criteria
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources (mandatory)
- 25 years of HR generalist experience
- Experience in NGO / social impact / mission-driven organization preferred
- Experience in managing corporate partnerships or placement initiatives is an added advantage
