Role Description

Location: Hyderabad (On-site)

Business: Ashok Leyland Authorised Spares & Service Dealership

Segment: Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV)

Reports To: Dealer Principal / Operations Head



Job Summary

The HR Executive / HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, employee management, payroll coordination, performance tracking, compliance, and workforce discipline for a medium-scale Ashok Leyland spares and service dealership. The role ensures smooth HR operations for workshop staff, technicians, service advisors, sales staff, and office teams.



Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Hire technicians, mechanics, service advisors, spares staff, BDMs, and office personnel.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Build a pipeline of skilled automotive workshop manpower.
  • Coordinate trade test and background verification.



Employee Onboarding & Records

  • Handle joining formalities, appointment letters, ID cards, and HR documentation.
  • Maintain employee records, attendance, and personnel files.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and induction process.



Attendance, Payroll & Benefits

  • Track daily attendance, shift schedules, overtime, and leave records.
  • Coordinate payroll preparation with accounts team.
  • Manage PF, ESI, gratuity, and statutory benefits.
  • Resolve salary queries and employee concerns.



Performance Management

  • Support performance appraisals for technicians, service advisors, and sales teams.
  • Track KPIs such as productivity, punctuality, target achievement, and discipline.
  • Implement incentive plans and monitor payout calculations.



Employee Relations & Discipline

  • Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain workplace discipline and workshop workforce behavior.
  • Improve employee engagement, retention, and morale.
  • Act as a bridge between management and staff.



Training & Skill Development

  • Coordinate technical training for mechanics and workshop staff.
  • Arrange soft skills and customer handling training.
  • Work with Ashok Leyland training programs and OEM skill modules.



HR Policies & Compliance

  • Implement HR policies, code of conduct, and company rules.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, PF, ESI, minimum wages, and safety norms.
  • Maintain statutory registers and audit records.
  • Manage contractor and temporary labor compliance.



Workforce Planning & Productivity

  • Monitor manpower requirements for workshop and spares departments.
  • Reduce manpower inefficiencies and absenteeism.
  • Support productivity improvement initiatives in workshop operations.



Admin & Office Support (Optional)

  • Oversee office discipline, housekeeping staff, and security coordination.
  • Support HR-related admin activities and vendor coordination.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 26 years of HR experience (automotive / industrial / workshop preferred)
  • Experience handling blue-collar workforce (technicians, mechanics)
  • Knowledge of PF, ESI, payroll, labor laws, and compliance
  • Strong communication skills in English, Telugu, and Hindi
  • Organized, firm, fair, and people-oriented
  • Comfortable working on-site in Hyderabad workshop environment


Education & Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • HR software / Excel / attendance systems knowledge
  • Experience in automotive dealership / service center is a plus
  • Mandatory physical office/workshop presence


Compensation Range (Optional)

  • HR Manager: 45,000 85,000 per month
  • (Based on experience & scale)
