Dataspot Technologies is seeking a 5+ years experienced and hands-on HR Manager to build and lead our India Human Resources (HR) function. This is an individual contributor role to start, ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic and operational capacities. As the business grows and needs evolve, this role offers the opportunity to build and lead a local team. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR responsibilities, including recruiting, HR operations, HR business partnership, compensation & benefits, compliance, and more, while laying the foundation for a scalable, high-impact HR organization. This position is onsite in our India office in Kozhikode, Kerala. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and operational doer. Youll collaborate closely with global leaders, including dotted-line stakeholders across multiple functions and third-party providers, to ensure alignment of HR practices and people strategies. You will play a key role in driving consistency across locations, supporting shared goals, and fostering an engaging, high-performing culture rooted in our company values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including talent sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Negotiate and manage offer rollouts and ensure smooth onboarding of new hires.
Conduct background verification and manage employee documentation.
Organize induction, orientation, and initial training programs for new employees.
Understanding manpower requisition from the concerned department
Preparing JDs and getting it approved from the department head
Sourcing the candidates that match the desired skills (Monster, Naukri, LinkedIn and other social media networks.)
Screening the candidates as per the job requirement.
Interview scheduling
2. Offer Generation
Maintaining and updating the database of the candidates
Doing the background verification check.
3. Joining Formalities
When particular candidate finalized and selected, rolling out the offer and the appointment letter and other joining documents
Introducing him/her to the team
Bank account opening procedures
Giving them the Biometric access
Issuing the ID cards
4. Induction and on-Boarding
Introduction to the company
HR policies-Dos and Donts of the company
Organizing the training for the freshers, or experience about the company products & services
Coordinating with technical team for email id creations etc
Keeping the track of the attendance of the employee
Keeping the records of the leave management in the software
Giving the attendance and leave report to the account department to process the salary
Sending memos and notices to the employee who has not applied for the leave without information
Seeing the daily and weekly report of the employees in the software whether they have generated or not
5. HR Operations
Maintain and update employee master data in HR systems.
Oversee attendance, leave management, and time-tracking systems.
Handle audits and ensure adherence to statutory and company compliance requirements.
Administer employee benefits such as group medical, group life, personal accident, gratuity, PF, and NPS.
Support HR policy development, documentation, and implementation.
6. Rewards & Recognition
Design and execute organization-wide R&R programs.
Ensure timely implementation and communication of recognition initiatives.
7. Learning & Development
Identify training needs in collaboration with department heads.
Coordinate training design, content development, and scheduling.
Manage training delivery, attendance tracking, and post-training feedback.
Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D initiatives and maintain training records.
8. Employee Engagement
Drive employee engagement and wellness initiatives across the organization.
Conduct engagement surveys and coordinate Great Place to Work certification processes.
Analyze engagement data, recommend action plans, and monitor implementation.
Handle employee grievances and maintain documentation in line with company policy.
9. Employee Exit Management
Manage off boarding processes including exit interviews, knowledge transfer, and clearance formalities.
Analyze exit data to identify trends and recommend retention strategies.
Ensure compliance and timely closure of exit documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources or related field.
5+ years of experience in HR Generalist or similar roles in a IT SAAS or startup companies who can comply end to end HR process
Strong understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HRMS tools, MS Office, and data management.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with attention to detail.
