Job Description
The Mandate
Looking for a strong, corporate-grade HR operator who can run HR end-to-end with maturity, structure, and zero hand-holding. This is a high-ownership role covering talent acquisition + performance + retention + payroll + compliance + culture.
What You Will Own (Non-Negotiable)
- End-to-end HR operations: hire onboard manage performance engage retain exit
- HR governance: policies, SOPs, documentation, statutory adherence
- Leadership partnering: act as an HR advisor for people decisions, escalations, and org discipline
Recruitment (Tech/Non-Tech)
- Own technical recruitment end-to-end (IT/Software/Product/Data/QA/DevOps/Design etc.) & Sales recruitment.
- Strong hands-on execution across:
- JD creation (role clarity + competency mapping)
- Sourcing strategy + funnel management
- Tech screening coordination + interview loop design
- Offer management, negotiation, closures
- US Staffing exposure (is a Plus):
- W2 / C2C / 1099 fundamentals
- Vendor management + recruiter coordination
- Speed + compliance + quality hiring
Performance Management + PIP + Manager Coaching
- Drive performance cycles: goal setting, check-ins, appraisals, documentation
- Independently manage PIPs:
- KPI-based plans, timelines, reviews, outcomes
- Documentation strong enough to be HR + legal defensible
- Coach managers on performance conversations, disciplinary process, and escalation handling
Retention + Engagement (Real Work, Not Fun Fridays)
- Own retention as a measurable outcome:
Attrition analysis, root causes, corrective actions
- Run engagement systems:
Pulse surveys, feedback loops, grievance controls
- Strengthen culture through process, clarity, and manager accountability
Rewards & Recognition (RnR) + Employee Motivation
- Build and run structured RnR programs:
- Spot awards, monthly/quarterly recognition, annual awards
- Value-based recognition + performance-led recognition
- Ensure RnR is tied to behavior + outcomes, not favoritism
- Manage internal communications around recognition to improve morale and retention
Payroll, Compensation & Benefits (Zero Error Expectation)
- End-to-end payroll ownership: attendance inputs, variable pay, deductions, compliance checks
- Handle compensation revisions, benchmarking support, letters and documentation
- Own benefits administration: insurance, leaves, statutory benefits, vendor coordination
- Partner with Finance for accuracy and audit readiness
Compliance, Policies & Risk Management
- Draft/update/enforce HR policies aligned with corporate standards
- Maintain discipline on documentation: contracts, confirmations, warnings, exits
- Handle grievances, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, terminations professionally
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws; US exposure is a plus
HR Metrics & Systems
- Build HR reporting cadence:
Hiring funnel metrics, TAT, offer-drop reasons, attrition, engagement trends
- Maintain HRMS/ATS hygiene, records, templates, dashboards
- Drive continuous process improvement and standardization
Must-Have Profile
- 46 years in corporate HR (MNC / Big IT / Big4 / consulting / structured orgs)
- Proven capability to run HR operations independently
- Strong experience in:
Technical hiring
PIP + performance systems
Retention + engagement
Payroll + compliance
RnR programs
- High maturity, confidentiality, crisp communication, and stakeholder control
