Job Description

Role Overview: The HR Lead will own the overall HR strategy, systems, and people planning at Scribbld. You will work closely with the Founders Office, department heads, and finance to ensure that hiring, performance, training, engagement, and compliance are aligned with business goals. You will be responsible for building scalable HR processes while protecting company culture and enabling team growth.


Key Responsibilities


  1. HR Strategy & Organizational Planning
  • Design and implement HR systems, processes, and SOPs aligned with business objectives
  • Drive talent acquisition, engagement, performance management, and retention strategy
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on team structure, succession planning, and headcount forecasting
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and future hiring needs
  • Lead change management during restructuring, policy rollouts, and system implementations


2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee all hiring decisions and approve final offers, especially for key roles
  • Lead senior-level hiring including JD creation, compensation benchmarking, and final interviews
  • Partner with finance to maintain competitive and equitable compensation structures
  • Build long-term employer branding initiatives
  • Manage relationships with recruitment partners and external consultants


3. Performance Management & Capability Building

  • Monitor probation reviews and performance appraisals with department leads
  • Develop and manage the annual HR calendar including reviews, audits, and engagement milestones
  • Identify learning and development needs across teams
  • Coordinate training initiatives through the HR Executive
  • Lead leadership development and succession planning initiatives
  • Mentor and guide the HR Executives and HR Trainees


4. Culture, Engagement & Conflict Resolution

  • Ensure alignment of all HR functions with Scribblds culture and values
  • Lead internal culture initiatives, diversity and inclusion efforts, and engagement programs
  • Act as a neutral mediator in sensitive employee matters
  • Drive transparent communication around HR policies and updates


5. Compliance, Governance & People Analytics

  • Ensure statutory and legal compliance across HR documentation and processes
  • Oversee policy adherence across departments
  • Use people analytics to track attrition, engagement, and performance trends
  • Share actionable insights with leadership for decision-making


Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Masters degree or relevant HR certification preferred

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Minimum 1 year in a leadership or strategic HR role is preferred
  • Experience in an agency or high-growth startup environment preferred
  • Hands-on exposure to senior hiring, compensation benchmarking, and organizational planning
  • Experience implementing HR systems, SOPs, and performance management frameworks

Skills

  • Strong understanding of HR strategy and organisational design
  • Expertise in talent acquisition and senior-level hiring
  • Experience in compensation structuring and benchmarking
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and employment laws
  • Ability to design and implement scalable HR processes and policies
  • Strong people analytics and data interpretation skills
