Internship Overview
The HR Intern role is designed for students and recent graduates who are keen to build a foundational understanding of Human Resources. The intern will work closely with the HR team and gain hands-on exposure to recruitment, HR operations, employee engagement, and workplace communication .
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, are detail-oriented, value confidentiality, and are eager to learn through real-world HR assignments.
Key Learning Areas & Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Exposure
- Learn candidate sourcing through job portals, LinkedIn, and internal databases
- Assist in scheduling interviews and coordinating with candidates and interview panels
- Participate in initial HR screening calls under guidance
- Maintain applicant data and recruitment trackers with accuracy
- Support campus hiring drives and early-career recruitment initiatives
2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Support
- Assist with onboarding documentation and joining formalities
- Learn how employee records are created, maintained, and updated
- Support preparation of HR reports, MIS, and dashboards
- Develop an understanding of compliance and documentation standards in HR
3. Employee Engagement & People Interaction
- Support planning and execution of employee engagement activities and HR events
- Assist in new employee orientation and induction sessions
- Coordinate with different departments for communication and engagement initiatives
- Build people interaction skills with sensitivity, professionalism, and respect
4. HR Administration & Communication
- Assist in drafting offer letters, agreements, and basic HR communications
- Maintain HR files and documents while adhering to confidentiality norms
- Support day-to-day HR coordination and administrative tasks
- Ensure timely, accurate, and error-free completion of assigned work
