About the Role
We are seeking a versatile and proactive HR Generalist to join our growing startup team. This is an
exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to
play a pivotal role in building our people operations from the ground up. You'll work closely with our
CPO and leadership team to develop scalable HR processes, support our talented workforce, and
enable rapid organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for technical and non-technical roles
Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles
Source, screen, and interview candidates using various recruitment channels
Manage candidate experience and maintain strong talent pipelines
Coordinate comprehensive interview processes including technical assessments
Build relationships with external recruitment agencies and talent partners
Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as primary point of contact for employee queries and concerns
Foster positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation programs
Facilitate regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and stay interviews
Manage employee grievances and conflict resolution processes
Organize team events, offsites, hackathons, and cultural activities
HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation systems
Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements
Manage payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management
Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
Handle statutory compliance including PF, ESI, professional tax, and other requirements
Coordinate with external HR service providers and consultants
Performance Management & Development
Design and implement performance review processes and frameworks
Support managers in setting goals, conducting reviews, and development planning
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs
Create career progression frameworks and succession planning processes
Support employee recognition and reward programs
Strategic HR Planning
Partner with leadership on organizational design and workforce planning
Develop HR metrics and analytics to support data-driven decisions
Support scaling initiatives and rapid team growth requirements
Contribute to company culture development and employer branding
Assist in building out new functions and departments as the company grows
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
5-10 years of experience in HR generalist roles, preferably in tech startups or fast-growing
companies
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance requirements
Experience with end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages
Proficiency with HR management systems, recruitment platforms, and productivity tools
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in HR, MBA, or relevant advanced certification
Experience in software/technology companies or manufacturing industry
Knowledge of remote work policies and distributed team management
Experience with HR analytics and metrics-driven decision making
Background in employee engagement and culture building initiatives
Familiarity with startup scaling challenges and growth-phase HR needs
