Role Overview

We are looking for a high-ownership HR Business Partner who can act as a strategic partner to business leaders, drive performance culture, and build strong people practices in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role will closely work with functional leaders to drive people strategy, performance management, org effectiveness, and employee experience, while also bringing working knowledge of payroll and compliance to ensure operational rigor.

You will operate as a core partner to departments not just an HR executor helping leaders scale teams, solve people challenges, and build a high-performance culture typical of a startup.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with leadership across departments (Tech, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Ops) to align people strategy with business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on org design, team effectiveness, workforce planning, and leadership coaching.
  • Drive culture initiatives aligned with startup growth and SaaS operating rhythm.
  • Anticipate people risks and proactively recommend solutions.


Performance Management (PMS Ownership)

  • Lead the end-to-end performance management cycle (OKRs/KPIs, reviews, calibration, feedback loops)
  • Coach managers on goal setting, performance conversations, and development planning.
  • Drive performance culture high accountability + growth mindset.


Employee Lifecycle & Engagement

  • Handle complex employee relations, conflict resolution, and sensitive cases.
  • Drive engagement, retention strategies, and pulse insights.
  • Support leadership in building strong, motivated teams.


Payroll & Compliance (Working Knowledge)

  • Ensure payroll inputs, audits, and coordination with HR Ops / Finance.
  • Maintain compliance with labour laws, audits, and documentation.
  • Support policy design and governance as the company scales.


Organizational Development

  • Support leadership capability building and succession planning.
  • Drive initiatives around career frameworks, talent reviews, and growth paths.
  • Help build scalable HR processes suited for a growing startup.


Must Have

  • 35+ years HR experience with strong HRBP exposure.
  • Experience in SaaS / Product / Software / Startup environment (highly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Performance Management Systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management ability to influence founders and leaders.
  • Exposure to payroll processes and labour compliance.
  • Proven experience handling employee relations and scaling teams.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and fast growth.


Good to Have

  • Experience in companies scaling from ~50 to 300+ employees.
  • Exposure to OKR-driven organizations.
  • HR analytics mindset.
  • Experience working closely with founders or leadership teams.
