Aim of The Job: To collaborate with the leadership team and contribute in bringing a gradual cultural change in the organization through various employee engagement, talent management and talent development initiatives thereby adding value to the HR function. To support the HR Director in building the Talent Management Strategy and designing interventions to maximize engagement. The role is an individual contributor role and will also include heavy stakeholder management.
HR Business Partner (HRBP) and Compensation & Benefits (Comp & Ben) specialists in merchants functions require a blend of strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to align human capital with fast-paced commercial goals.

Core HR Business Partner (HRBP) Skills:
These are essential for supporting merchant/commercial teams.
- Strategic Workforce Planning Align hiring and workforce plans with merchant business goals.
- Business Acumen Understand retail/merchant operations, revenue drivers, margins, and category performance.
- Stakeholder Management Partner with category heads, sales leaders, and senior management.
- Talent Management Performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Employee Relations Conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
- Organizational Design Structuring merchant teams for efficiency and growth.
- Change Management Supporting restructures, new business strategies, and transformation initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits (Comp & Ben) Skills
Specialized skills for managing pay structures and rewards.
- Compensation Benchmarking Using market surveys.
- Salary Structure Design Pay bands, grading frameworks, and job evaluation.
- Total Rewards Strategy Aligning compensation with business performance and retention.
- Compliance Knowledge Labor laws, statutory benefits, and tax implications.
HR Analytics & Data Skills
Important for both HRBP and Comp & Ben.
HR Data Analysis
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
HRIS Systems
- Workday will be added advantage or expertise in any other HRIS systems.
Youre a match:
- Full time post-graduate / masters in business administration (MBA) specialization in Human
Resources.
- 10-12 years of overall experience with minimum 10+ years experience on managing the HR employee engagement principles & best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in HRBP, Compensation & Benefits, or Total Rewards roles.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, compensation structures, and benefits administration.
- Experience partnering with business leaders in a strategic HR capacity.
- Excellent Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Should be articulate.
- Should have excellent organizing, planning and analytical skills.
- Should be proficient in MS Office Excel, Power Point, Word.
- Should be a good team player.
