Are you passionate about maintaining top-tier health, safety, environment, and quality standards?
We are seeking an HSEQ professional who will primarily focus on vendor audits and supply chain quality improvements. The role involves ensuring vendor compliance with food safety, health, safety, environment, and quality standards through regular audits, process reviews, and improvement initiatives. The individual will work closely with vendors and internal teams to strengthen quality standards, enhance supply chain practices, and ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Delivery of the HSEQ Agenda
- Drive HSEQ Strategic Planning in line with SmartQ HSEQ Strategy
- Bringing innovations, introducing contemporary trends in the field of HSEQ in consultation with the Business Heads, Lead HSEQ for up gradation of HSEQ function for the company. Implementation of all food safety and health & safety standards (of the company)
- Sharing of leading practices across the units on a regular basis and implementation throughout all the locations in India.
- Analyse training requirements, developing training plan and impactful training materials.
- Developing the Content as per the requirement.
Implementation of the Global Standards
- HSEQ audits as per the audit schedule and monitoring implementation of CAPA.
- Performing HSEQ scoping, pre-mobilization site assessments for all new bids in co-ordination with Sales and Operation team and provide necessary inputs in HSEQ scoping document sites on time. Also coordinating with the clients (existing & new) for any HSEQ related matters, queries.
- Helping mobilization of new sites for Regional by ensuring adherence to all HSE & QA related processes required for successful mobilization.
- Co-coordinating with operation leaders, process owners for all HSEQ related methods for effective implementation of the same.
- Maintaining Zero Food Poisoning Allegations.
Governance & Reporting
- Monthly HSE report & weekly HSEQ reports
- Monthly review within in-unit HSE team & provide guidance for improvement of the same.
- Supporting unit and the client to meet the requirements of the certifying, regulatory bodies during certification, re-certification process as applicable.
- Imparting training as per Training Calendar and monthly reporting of the training activities
Vendor Compliance
- Ensuring the Quality Development in the Supply Chain for Vendors (existing and new) through vendor audits, review of the supplied material quality and supply chain/ process and conducting Vendor awareness training sessions on HSE and QA parameters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 4- 5 years' experience in HSEQ roles, preferably within the food or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, work Safety and Environmental safety
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, OSHA, and applicable local HSEQ regulations.
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, policy implementation, and conducting audits.
- Ability to deliver effective training sessions and foster a strong safety-first culture.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
