Job Description

The HRIS Insight & Data Analyst develops and delivers reporting and analytics aligned to business needs, translating human resources data into actionable insights. This role interprets trends across workforce, talent, and operational HR data, leveraging data visualization and data modeling techniques to support informed decision-making and effectively communicate findings.


The HRIS Insight & Data Analyst serves as a system point of contact for Human Resources and may lead or support initiatives, projects, and system implementations to ensure data integrity, system testing, reporting accuracy, and analytical consistency. In addition, this role provides ongoing support for the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), including the core HRIS platform, talent acquisition systems, document management tools, and the learning management system (LMS).


Key Responsibilities


  • Transform Data into Insight: Develop, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the employee lifecycle. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic workforce decisions.


  • Data Visualization & Storytelling: Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate insights to HR leaders and business stakeholders. Ensure information is accessible, accurate, and aligned with business priorities.


  • Reporting Excellence & Governance: Lead the development and maintenance of standard and ad hoc reporting while ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance. Establish reporting standards, documentation, and best practices to support scalable analytics.


  • Data Integrity & Audit Management: Perform ongoing audits of HR-related data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems. Identify data discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and support governance practices that maintain trusted data.


  • System Testing & Implementation Support: Participate in HRIS projects and implementations, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, validation, and post-launch support to ensure accurate data and reliable system functionality.


  • Operational HRIS Support: Provide ongoing support for the daily operation and maintenance of HR systems, including core HRIS, talent acquisition, document management, and learning management systems, ensuring continuity and user confidence.


  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay current on People Analytics trends, tools, and best practices. Proactively recommend enhancements to analytics capabilities, data models, and processes to elevate HRs impact on the organization.


Qualifications Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or another business-relevant discipline. An additional four (4) years of directly related experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Two to four (24) years of experience supporting enterprise-wide HRIS platforms, with direct responsibility for HR data management, reporting, and people analytics.
  • Strong understanding of HR workflows and processes across multiple Centers of Excellence, including talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, learning and development, and HR operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR systems architecture, data integrations, reporting frameworks, and workforce metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence and analytics tools, data management platforms, or SQL-based languages, including Microsoft Power BI, DAX, and IBM Cognos (or comparable tools).
  • Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) suites strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to perform data validation, audits, and reconciliation to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-directed, collaborative professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
