Key Responsibilities

Student Safety & Welfare

• Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all students in the hostel.
• Monitor students daily routines, attendance, and hostel discipline.
• Provide first aid and coordinate emergency care when needed.
• Act as a mentor and point-of-contact for student concerns.

Hostel Administration

• Maintain attendance, leave registers, visitor logs, and room allotments.
• Supervise housekeeping and cleanliness of rooms, common areas, and amenities.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with facilities teams.
• Enforce hostel rules, curfews, and safety protocols.
• Conduct room checks and resolve disciplinary matters.

Student Support & Guidance

• Mentor students on rules, responsibilities, study habits, and routine compliance.
• Address student issues, conflicts, or grievances promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with academic staff for any academic-related concerns.

Coordination & Facility Management

• Coordinate with mess/catering service providers for quality food service and menus.
• Ensure availability of basic amenities (water, sanitation, electricity).
• Facilitate safe access control and entry/exit monitoring.

Record Keeping & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of hostel occupancy, incidents, and daily reports.
• Report to Senior Administration / Campus Leadership on safety, discipline, and housing matters.

Emergency Response

• Implement and manage emergency procedures fire, medical, security incidents.
• Conduct safety drills and briefings for students and hostel staff.

Communication

• Communicate policy updates to students and parents.
• Coordinate with PW administrative teams on hostel operations and student updates.
