Hiring Payment Posting Executive – NextGen (NexGen) | US Healthcare | 3+ Years | Chennai | Full-Time

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Payment Posting Executive with strong hands-on expertise in NextGen (NexGen) software. The candidate will be responsible for accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and reconciliation while ensuring compliance with payer guidelines and internal processes.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3+ Years

Industry: Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Post insurance and patient payments accurately in NextGen (NexGen) Practice Management system
• Handle ERA/EOB payment posting, including contractual adjustments, denials, and takebacks
• Reconcile posted payments with bank deposits and billing reports
• Identify and report underpayments, overpayments, and posting discrepancies
• Work closely with AR and Billing teams to resolve payment-related issues
• Maintain TAT and quality benchmarks as per client SLAs
• Follow HIPAA compliance and organizational policies
• Support month-end and audit requirements as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Payment Posting
• Mandatory hands-on experience with NextGen (NexGen) software
• Strong knowledge of:
• Insurance EOBs & ERAs.
• CPT, ICD, and basic medical billing workflows.
• US healthcare payers (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
• Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to denial management or AR follow-ups.
• Experience in US healthcare RCM processes.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Education

• Any graduate (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
