The Test Analyst is expected to support mid to large scale change projects in capacities of a testing. The candidate is expected to perform testing in line with the project strategy. The projects are in-line with the organizations priorities and will include functions such as Corporate/ Regulatory Reporting, Tax Reporting, Capital, & Liquidity reporting. The successful candidate would have demonstrated experience in testing, regulatory projects and be confident working across functional teams.
Detailed Role Requirements:
- Identify and analyse test requirements from specifications
- Create test scenarios and design test coverage plan, with traceability back to documented business requirements and workflows.
- Perform peer review of test scenarios and test cases.
- Assist in managing testing schedule, critical path, contentions, and interdependencies.
- Work collaboratively with project teams including developers, function SME, project managers and business analysts.
- Participate in defect triage meetings, collaborate with developers to ensure all potential issues and bugs identified during the testing are corrected before the product goes live.
- Communicating with project teams and stakeholders, present demos, and answer questions at the end of a sprint.
- Explore opportunities of automation and drive usage of new technologies in testing.
- Self-motivated and accountable individual capable of driving allocated work and meet deadlines.
- Willing and able to pivot from current tasks to higher priority issues as they come in.
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- Degree qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Minimum 7-8 years of post-qualification experience
- Good Understanding of STLC (Software Testing Lifecycle) / Test case creation and execution.
- Basic SQL script writing including simple join functions is a must.
- Good to have knowledge of Alteryx workflows or Alteryx testing experience.
- Strong knowledge of Defect Life cycle and Regression testing.
- Good understanding of JIRA management.
- Experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry with knowledge of bug fixes and enhancements
- Domain knowledge on Tax/Liquidity/Capital is additional good to have
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile way of working.
- Self-motivated, willingness to take charge and move ahead in ambiguous situation
