Job Description: Head of Department Nepal Operations

Location: Ahmedabad, India

Role: Divisional Head / BU Head

Reports To: Vertical Head

1. Role Overview

Responsible for driving overall business operations for the Nepal market from Ahmedabad, including strategy planning, sales & marketing leadership, distribution management, and team development. Ensures business growth, revenue achievement, market expansion, and smooth coordination between HO, Nepal operations, and channel partners.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic & Business Leadership

  • Prepare annual business plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and P&L for Nepal.
  • Execute strategic initiatives for growth, brand building, and market development.

B. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify market opportunities and drive sales to achieve targets.
  • Monitor competition and implement effective counter-strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with key doctors, hospitals, and channel partners.

C. Marketing & Product Promotion

  • Plan and execute marketing activities, product launches, CMEs, seminars, and promotions.
  • Enhance brand visibility and ensure strong product positioning.

D. Distribution & Supply Chain

  • Appoint and manage CSA, distributors, and stockists in Nepal.
  • Ensure efficient stock flow from HO to CFA and distributors.
  • Track inventory, primary/secondary sales, and territory coverage.

E. Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales & marketing team.
  • Recruit new team members and improve field productivity.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance.

F. Operational Excellence

  • Analyze low-performing territories and implement corrective plans.
  • Resolve customer issues and maintain service standards.
  • Ensure accurate expense reporting and adherence to company processes.

3. Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team-handling capabilities
  • Sales, marketing, and business development expertise
  • Channel & distribution management knowledge
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills

4. Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Science, Pharmacy, Business, or related field
  • 1015 years of experience with at least 5 years in leadership
  • Experience in Nepal market preferred
