Role Overview

Responsible for maintaining accounting records for hedge funds and private equity funds, including NAV preparation, investor allocations, capital account statements, and capital activity processing. Supports financial reporting, reconciliations, fee calculations, and regulatory filings while coordinating with custodians, auditors, and tax teams. Ensures compliance with US GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and timely delivery of accurate fund accounting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and accounting records for hedge funds and private equity funds.
• Prepare and review NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations, investor allocations, and capital account statements.
• Record and reconcile portfolio transactions, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, private investments, and structured products.
• Process and account for capital calls, distributions, and investor subscriptions/redemptions.
• Assist with management and performance fee calculations.
• Support audit and tax processes by preparing schedules, responding to auditor/tax advisor requests, and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP / IFRS.
• Monitor and reconcile cash, positions, and trades with custodians, prime brokers, and administrators.
• Assist with regulatory filings (e.g., Form PF, AIFMD, FATCA, CRS).
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support portfolio managers and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/CFA preferred).
• 35 years of relevant fund accounting or audit experience
• Strong knowledge of investment fund structures (hedge funds, private equity, partnerships).
• Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and partnership accounting principles.
• Experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran, Geneva, eFront, Advent) is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
