Job Summary

The Nurse Recruiter Germany is responsible for sourcing, screening, and deploying qualified registered nurses for employment in German hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities. The role focuses on international nurse recruitment, ensuring compliance with German licensing, language, and immigration requirements, while delivering a smooth candidate and client experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesNurse Sourcing & Screening
  • Source qualified registered nurses for Germany through job portals, referrals, social media, institutions, and international partners
  • Screen nurses for education, clinical experience, specialty, and eligibility to work in Germany
  • Conduct initial interviews to assess nursing competencies, motivation, and adaptability
  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of nurse candidates
Candidate Management & Guidance
  • Guide nurses through the complete recruitment lifecycle from onboarding to deployment
  • Explain German nursing roles, work environment, salary structure, shift systems, and career progression
  • Provide counseling on relocation, cultural adaptation, and professional expectations in Germany
  • Coordinate interviews between nurses and German employers
Licensing, Language & Compliance
  • Ensure nurses meet German nursing recognition requirements (Anerkennung)
  • Track and verify mandatory documentation such as diplomas, transcripts, experience letters, and registration certificates
  • Coordinate with language training teams for German language requirements (A2B1/B2 levels as applicable)
  • Work closely with visa and immigration teams to support nurse deployment
Client & Partner Coordination
  • Liaise with German hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and recruitment partners
  • Understand nurse demand by specialty (general nursing, elderly care, ICU, OT, etc.)
  • Provide recruitment progress reports, hiring status, and pipeline updates
Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate nurse profiles and documentation in ATS/CRM systems
  • Track recruitment KPIs such as sourcing numbers, interview success rates, and deployment timelines
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and client-specific requirements
Required Qualifications & ExperienceEducation & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in HR, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 25 years of experience in nurse recruitment, preferably international or Germany-focused
  • Experience recruiting nurses for Europe or overseas markets is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of nursing roles, specialties, and staffing needs
  • Knowledge of German nurse licensing and recognition processes (preferred)
  • Excellent candidate-handling and counseling skills
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume nurse recruitment projects
Language Skills
  • English: Fluent
  • German: Basic knowledge preferred (advantage, not mandatory)
