Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Reports to: Project Manager

Position Overview:
The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental practices on construction sites to ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international safety standards. The role supports the Project Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor day-to-day HSE compliance at construction sites and report any deviations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety through training, awareness programs, and toolbox talks.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Support emergency preparedness and response plans on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 57 years of HSE experience in construction, real estate, or related industries.
- Knowledge of international HSE regulations and standards .
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
