Head-Electrical Design & Engineering ( EHV 765 Kv Substations)

CLIENT: Design & Engineering Capability Center of an MNC undertaking wide portfolio of design & engineering services for high value HV power grid sector projects in India,Middle-East & South Asia.

Key Drivers:

• Head the Power Transmission & Distribution GCC for design, engineering & proposal engineering of HV & EHV ( 400Kv+) substations for international Projects.
• Primary design & engineering comprising SLD, Earthling,Control room, equipment,Cabling,illumination layout. and AIS layouts for Substation Projects covering the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to support during commissioning and warranty periods.
• Secondary design such as Protection Control,Block Logic Diagrams, Relay Setting Calculations,Interconnection Diagrams, Synchro check Interfacing diagram and Interlock logic diagram,SCADA/ TFR/ DSM.
• Equipment Selection and freezing technical specifications,Vendor drawing review,
• Proposal Engineering comprising estimation of BOQ,defining scope, exclusions etc.

Incumbent Profile:

• Electrical Engineer with 18+ years experience in Detailed Design & Engineering for HV power & distribution projects upto 765KV and extensive knowledge in System engineering such as Load Flow, Short Circuit,SLD, Protection and Control Schematic, LT and HT drives, MV/LV Switchgear, Sizing calculations,Earthling and illumination Design, Indoor and Outdoor Cabling Layout, Cable Block diagram, of EHV substations.
• Worked on international power projects.
• Well-versed in international codes of practice and design standards.
• Understanding of the inter-disciplinary (Civil & Structural, Mechanical and Instrumentation) design aspects of electrical equipment.
