Head PMS Operations

About the Job

The Head PMS Operations will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational activities of Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and AIF structures, ensuring accurate NAV computation, fund accounting, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role demands strong operational control, process automation capabilities, and high accuracy in MIS and reporting, supporting scalable growth of PMS operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely NAV calculation and verification for PMS and AIF portfolios
• Oversee fund accounting operations , including corporate actions, capital activities, reconciliations, and outsourced FA processes
• Ensure full compliance with SEBI PMS/AIF regulations and applicable statutory requirements
• Coordinate with concurrent, internal, and statutory auditors for NAV verification and audit closures
• Calculate and verify management fees, performance fees, brokerage, custody charges , and other fund-related expenses
• Liaise with fund managers, custodians, brokers, registrars, and counterparties for operational and NAV-related queries
• Manage day-to-day PMS operations , including trade processing, settlements, corporate actions, and client data management
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports, MIS, and internal dashboards with high accuracy and timeliness
• Implement process automation and business process reengineering to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability
• Monitor operational risk, compliance controls, and documentation standards
• Support client reporting and generation of PMS statements and disclosures

Skills Required

Domain Skills

• Strong knowledge of PMS & AIF operations , fund accounting, and NAV computation
• Understanding of capital markets, corporate actions, settlements, and fee structures
• Hands-on experience with SEBI PMS/AIF regulations and compliance reporting
• Exposure to audit coordination and regulatory interactions

Technical Skills

• Advanced MS Excel proficiency (mandatory) Lookups, Pivot Tables, Dashboards, complex reconciliations
• Strong MIS reporting and data analysis capabilities
• Familiarity with fund accounting systems, PMS platforms, and financial software
• SQL knowledge will be an added advantage
• Ability to drive process automation and operational efficiency initiatives

Managerial Skills

• Strong stakeholder management across fund managers, auditors, custodians, and internal teams
• Ability to manage teams, prioritize deliverables, and work under tight regulatory timelines
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation abilities

Experience & Qualifications

• 45 years of relevant experience in PMS / AIF / Wealth Management Operations
• Hands-on exposure to NAV computation, fund accounting, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting
• Experience working with custodians, auditors, brokers, and registrars
• Bachelors degree in Finance / Commerce / Management or a related discipline
• CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage
• Prior experience in process automation, system enhancements, or operational transformation preferred
