Head - Plant Finance and Accounts

Key Responsibility:

Treasury:

Evaluate the organizations short-, medium-, and long-term funding needs and recommend appropriate financing options.
Develop and implement cost-effective alternative funding mechanisms in collaboration with the CFO to improve efficiency within the corporate finance function.
Track and manage the working capital cycle to maintain a healthy liquidity position.
Ensure optimal deployment of funds, including prudent investment of surplus funds to maximize returns within approved risk limits.
Arrange and manage funding from banks and financial institutions at competitive terms to support working capital and project financing requirements.

Tax

Budgeting & Reporting

Drive the annual budgeting exercise, sharing prior-year data and analytical insights with the CFO and Business Unit finance leaders.
Develop detailed budgets by location and team, including projected profitability, manpower planning, and workforce composition.
Monitor actual performance against budget, and provide fortnightly/monthly variance reports to CXOs and Business Unit heads, highlighting key deviations.

MIS & Statutory

Oversee and validate month-end closing activities as per the defined checklist, coordinating collection of required documentation from the team.
Compile and support data requirements for internal and statutory audits, income tax filings, and tax assessments, and address queries from auditors and tax authorities.
Prepare and assist in presenting MIS, budget, and fund flow reports to the budgeting lead.
Compile and analyze monthly financial performance.

Qualification:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with specialization in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Over 15 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with exposure to manufacturing or plant operations.
Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
