Head of Software

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Software Development to lead our software engineering team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and extensive experience in the financial markets domain. This role involves overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of critical applications, managing a team of junior developers, and driving innovation in building applications from scratch, with a focus on leveraging AI and ML technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of junior developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable applications from scratch, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Maintain and support legacy software systems, ensuring stability, performance, and compatibility with modern technologies.

Implement AI and ML models to convert images and texts into structured database entries for efficient data processing.

Oversee web scraping initiatives to gather and process financial data from various online sources.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Ensure high-quality code delivery through code reviews, best practices, and adherence to development standards.

Provide technical guidance on complex projects, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance.

Stay updated on emerging technologies, including AI, ML, and web scraping techniques, to drive innovation in the financial markets domain.

Analyze and interpret company fundamental data to support application development for financial market solutions.

Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

Educational Qualifications:

BE or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputed university.

Technical Skills Required:

Proficiency in Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, React, MySQL, MS SQL, and Python.

Expertise in web scraping techniques to extract and process data from online sources.

Experience in developing and deploying AI and ML models for converting images and texts to structured database entries.

Strong experience in building applications from the ground up.

Expertise in maintaining and enhancing legacy software systems.

Ability to lead and manage multiple development projects simultaneously.

Domain Expertise:

Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in the financial markets domain.

Decent understanding of company fundamental data (e.g., financial statements, ratios, and market metrics).

Proven track record of delivering financial market-related applications or solutions, preferably incorporating AI/ML or web scraping.

Leadership and Soft Skills:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
