Job Title: Head of Semiconductor Distribution Business
Location: Bangalore
Reporting To: Chief Business Officer
Role Overview
The Head of Semiconductor Distribution Business is responsible for leading strategy, P&L, growth, and operational excellence for the distribution portfolio across components, solutions, and services. This role owns revenue delivery, partner ecosystem management, channel enablement, pricing strategy, demand creation, and customer acquisition .
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define long-term market strategy and annual business plans across segmentsindustrial, automotive, IoT, telecom, consumer, cloud/datacenter
- Own full P&L accountability , including gross margin, working capital efficiency, and profitability.
Sales & Market Development
- Own regional or global sales performance, demand generation, pipeline creation, and strategic account management.
- Expand vertical industry penetrationauto/EV, industrial automation, defense, networking, storage, compute, AI, energy.
- Build value-added engineering and field application support for selected technologies.
Business Operations
- Lead forecasting, inventory strategy, allocation management, credit risk, and order fulfillment.
- Implement pricing frameworks, discount governance, tiered support models, and digital tools.
- Develop CRM, ERP, quoting platform efficiencies, and distributor KPIs.
Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teamssales, FAE, product management, supply chain, finance and logistics.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Revenue growth vs. plan
- Gross and net margin improvement
- Design-in wins / demand creation conversion rate
- Supplier scorecard ratings
- Market share gains
- Inventory turns and working capital efficiency
- Customer acquisition and retention
- Team competency and engagement indices
Qualifications & Experience
- 1525+ years semiconductor industry experience, with proven leadership in distribution, channel management, or OEM/IDM/Fabless sales .
- Deep understanding of product portfolios (microcontrollers, SoCs, memory, power semis, sensors, connectivity, analog, FPGA/ASSP, IP licensing).
- Track record in P&L management, supplier negotiations, pricing, and complex B2B relationships .
- Experience managing large teams, regional coverage, and multi-partner ecosystems.
- Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering; MBA preferred.
