Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brand focused on building a differentiated, digital-first consumer experience. With strong early traction across our own website and marketplaces, we are now entering the next phase of scale and are looking for a Business Head to drive end-to-end growth and profitability.
Role Overview:
The Business Head will own the P&L and lead overall business strategy, growth, and execution across online channels. This role requires a strong operator with hands-on experience in scaling D2C brands, managing performance marketing, driving retention, optimizing unit economics, and building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. P&L Ownership & Strategy:
- Own revenue, gross margins, contribution margins, and overall profitability.
- Build and execute short- and long-term growth strategies.
- Drive sustainable unit economics (CAC, LTV, ROAS, AOV, retention).
2. Growth & Revenue Acceleration:
- Lead performance marketing across Meta, Google, and other digital platforms.
- Scale marketplace business (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) and optimize rankings and conversions.
- Drive retention, CRM, subscription models, and repeat purchases.
- Identify new growth levers: offline retail, quick commerce, international expansion.
3. Brand & Consumer Experience:
- Work closely with marketing to strengthen brand positioning and storytelling.
- Improve website experience, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and funnel efficiency.
- Ensure seamless consumer journey across touchpoints.
4. Operations & Supply Chain:
- Oversee demand planning, inventory management, and working capital efficiency.
- Coordinate with manufacturing/vendors to ensure service levels and margins.
5. Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor teams across growth, marketing, operations, and marketplace.
- Create a performance-driven, ownership-oriented culture.
6. Data & Analytics:
- Build dashboards and track key KPIs daily/weekly.
- Use data to drive decisions on pricing, bundling, discounting, and new launches.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years of experience, with at least 4-5 years in a D2C brand.
- Strong experience in scaling revenue from early stage to high growth phase.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing metrics and marketplace dynamics.
- Proven experience in P&L management and business scaling.
- Prior experience in consumer categories (beauty, fashion, food, wellness, lifestyle preferred).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution capabilities.
